Privacy
How ImmigrationTimes.org handles data about the people who read it. This notice describes what the site actually loads and stores, and it names the specific services and identifiers involved so that any statement here can be checked.
Effective
Summary
ImmigrationTimes.org is a free, public-interest reference site. Reading it requires no account and no personal information. We do not sell data, we run no advertising, and we hold no advertising accounts. We collect aggregate traffic measurements, and — only if you ask for email alerts — the address you give us.
The processing-time data published on this site comes from U.S. government sources and describes government agencies, not readers. Nothing in our published datasets, API responses, or downloadable files contains information about you.
Measurement and cookies
Ordinary pages on this site load two traffic-measurement services:
- Fathom Analytics (site
NZPMQVDN) — aggregate page-view measurement. It sets no cookies and does not track readers between sites. - Google Analytics 4 (property
G-W0KHP5T18P) — this one does set cookies. It writes two first-party cookies:_ga, which records whether a browser has visited before; and_ga_W0KHP5T18P, which holds the current session state for this property.
Google Analytics on this property is configured with allow_google_signals: false, allow_ad_personalization_signals: false, and ads_data_redaction: true. In plain terms: this traffic is not joined to Google account signals, is not used to personalise advertising, and advertising identifiers are redacted from it. These settings are visible in the page source.
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, this site sets no cookies of its own, and it carries no advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers. Interest-based ad cohorts are additionally refused at the HTTP header level.
Embedded charts
The chart embeds we publish for use on other sites are deliberately lighter than our own pages. An embedded chart loads the cookieless measurement script only. It does not load Google Analytics and it sets no cookies — so placing one of our embeds on your site does not add cookies to your site.
Services that receive your IP address
Loading any page necessarily reveals your IP address to the services that deliver it. Stating this plainly is more useful than omitting it. Our pages are delivered through Cloudflare (content delivery and denial-of-service protection), and they load fonts, charting libraries, and the measurement scripts above from Google (Fonts, Tag Manager, Analytics), Fathom, jsDelivr, and unpkg. Each of those receives your IP address and user-agent string as a consequence of serving the request. We send them nothing else about you.
Email alerts
Email alerts are optional and off unless you subscribe. If you do, we store the email address you submit, the forms you selected, the page you subscribed from and the page that referred you, confirmation and unsubscribe tokens, and the relevant timestamps. Delivery is handled by Resend, our email provider.
That address is used to send the alerts you asked for and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, share it for marketing, or use it to build a profile.
Retention and deletion
Traffic measurements are held by the analytics providers above under their own retention settings and are aggregate; they are not tied to a name or an account here.
Subscriber records work as follows, and the distinction matters: using the unsubscribe link marks your record inactive and stops all mail immediately, but it does not erase your address from our database. The record is retained so that the same address is not re-subscribed in error. If you want the record erased outright, ask us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Block or clear the
_gaand_ga_W0KHP5T18Pcookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out tools. The site works normally without them. - Every alert email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Request a copy of what we hold about you, or ask for it to be deleted, using the contact address below.
